Easier carb calculations thanks to CalorieKing and Joslin
I read about this in the latest CWD newsletter, and it seems like a great tool to use if you're doing carb or calorie counting.CalorieKing and the Joslin clinic have combined to create a Web Browser toolbar. This allows you to search for food information (carbs, fat, calories) quickly from your browser. And it works for both Internet Explorer and Firefox!
Here's what the installed toolbar looks like.

And here's an example of the results that it returns.

Labels: calorie, calorieking, carbs, diabetes, joslin

Cool, thanks!
This is AMAZINGLY cool and useful!
I am going to have a toolbar crisis soon. :)
Wow, I really wish they would reply to my emails so we could integrate their food DB with SugarStats :-(
Now, if only they would develop a version for use with Google's SMS (text messaging) service, as not many of us carry around wireless laptops, but our phones are everywhere!
I downloaded calorie king to my palm pilot - would love if they integrated this into an os version.
This is great! Thanks, Bernard.
How did I miss that gem?
Thanks for pointing it out!
I still like my desktop version at calorie balance diet. It is free. But still no phone version. That would be really cool to be able to just text and then get food info.
