Probably 30% of the time I have to re-enter the silly phrase just to post a comment.And most of the time it's when I'm commenting on a Blogger blog, so the system knows exactly who I am. Grrr.
To reduce the pain for readers of my blog, I'm turning it off.
It's not like I'm getting hundreds of comments a week. So I may as well make it easier for anyone who wants to say hi.
Oh, and I've updated my template to reduce those Snap.com previews where they don't make sense.

Yeah I hate them too and I wonder how necessary they really are.... Maybe I should turn mine off too! I could at least try not using it and see if problems arise! Now we know that Carl was 53 centimeters long - a very big baby. Does that mean if he starts long he will end up tall? We could use a little tallness in our family!
I agree they are a pain, but since I became a victim of blog spam a while back I resorted to them as a means to not have to moderate all the time.

Hey Ber - hope you all had a great paddy's. We spent is in a forest, in a holiday village, celebrating Helen's 40th. Lots of fresh air, cycling, and other out-doorsy activities. Enjoying a bloomin cold Spring here in London. Still, mustn't grumble...but will if you insist.
