Free ACCU-CHEK offer for BD meter users
Yet another company is offering a replacement meter for users of BD meters. Since BD announced they will be discontinuing their meters, Lifescan has already offered replacements and now Roche Diagnostics is making the same offer.According to the press release:
BD Logic blood glucose meter users can receive a free ACCU-CHEK blood glucose system (meter and strips) by calling 1-888-355-4242.
If you're a user of the excellent BD lancets, you'll be glad to know that BD will still be making those.

It figures they would also. It's interesting to me the order in which these appeared.
Lifescan first, then Roche and finally Abbott. I really like the Abbott FreeStyle meters, I wish there marketing folks were a bit more on the ball.
Actually, Abbott was first, then Lifescan, then Accu-chek. If you look at their press release, it's dated 9/29.
Abbott made the announcement the same day BD made theirs. Lifescan did it the next day.
